What is a public facing IP address?

The public facing IP address is assigned to you by your Internet Service Provider. This IP address can be static (permanently assigned) or dynamic (it can change randomly).  It is mandatory that any Teo UC System be assigned a static IP address.  Find out the public IP address of your Internet access point by going to http://whatismyip.com in any browser window.  This will display your “Public Facing IP Address.”

Adding license or UC user extension

Please contact your regional sales executive for current pricing, or contact us. Once your quote has been generated, you may place your order with Teo for the number and type of license(s) you require.  Licenses are usually assigned by Teo the same day we receive your order, and your point of contact will be notified that the license(s) are available.

Save frequent fax numbers

· In the SEND FAX option of the Teo User Portal > Recipients, choose Magnifying glass for search.

Registering my Teo Softphone or Teo 91XX phone

If you have followed the FAQs or additional Teo Softphone articles regarding provisioning a Teo 9102 or 9104, this may mean either your firewall and/or modem/router is blocking specific ports for the phones to register.  For proper assistance contact your Teo Service Partner directly for support, as this may need further analysis.  Be prepared with the following:

  1. Make and model of modem
  2. Name of your Internet service provider
  3. Make and model of router
  4. Make and model of firewall (if applicable)

Most  of this information can be found on your devices.

Modems, routers, firewall, or hardware Teo recommends

As a hosted provider, Teo does not recommend 3rd party hardware for your specific needs, however we do carry suggestions based on the Internet Service Provider you will be using.  Additionally there are specific hardware combinations, that if set up correctly, will enhance your VoIP Experience.  Please contact your Teo Service Partner or Teo Technical Support to discuss your requirements.
