Sending Faxes

The SEND FAX feature lets you send a PDF file via the fax server to one or more recipients. The file must be in PDF format. The fax server does not add a cover sheet, so you must create a fax cover sheet within the document if you want to include one. You can create the list of recipients from your personal Contacts directory or by manually entering fax numbers.

To enable fax sending, your system administrator must assign a DID number to the fax server.

To send a PDF file by fax

  1. Click BROWSE, select a PDF file from your computer to fax and click Open. The filename appears in the PDF DOCUMENT TO FAX field.
  2. Select LETTER (8.5 x 11 inches) or LEGAL (8.5 x 14 inches) PAPER SIZE.

  3. Select a recipient or multiple recipients:
    • Enter a recipient's fax number in the NUMBER field and then click Add New to add the number to the RECIPIENTS list,

           OR
    • Click Search below the RECIPIENTS list to open the Contacts window, click check boxes next to the names and fax numbers you want to include, then click Done.
  4. Click Send Fax to send the fax to all numbers in the RECIPIENTS list.

To add a new contact to the fax Contacts list

  1. Click Search below the RECIPIENTS list to open the Contacts window.
  2. Enter a fax NUMBER and NAME.
  3. Click Add.
