Traffic from selected addresses, host names, and subnets can be allowed or disallowed on this screen.
Addresses in the whitelist are always allowed to connect. Connections from addresses in the blacklist are immediately dropped.
it is best practice to whitelist known local networks, known remote addresses, and known named hosts.
To add whitelist or blacklist entries
- Under the appropriate list, enter an IP address, Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) mask, or host name.
- Enter an optional note to describe the entry.
- Click to add the entry to the list.
To delete a whitelist or blacklist entry
- Hover the cursor over a line in the either list.
- Click the X that appears at the right of the line.
- Click in the popup dialog to confirm deletion.
When finished, click to save the new entries.
