   Contacts App

Contacts can store contact names, phone numbers, email address, a photo, notes, and other information. You contacts can be entered and stored locally on your phone, or you can sync to Microsoft Exchange contacts.

To view contacts

  1. Tap the  Contacts app icon.
  2. Scroll to the desired contact.
  3. Tap the Phone icon at the right to call this contact.
  4. Tap the contact to view details.
    • Tap the Phone or Email icon to call or send an email to this contact.
    • To add or change a picture, tap the picture.
    • There are icons at the upper right for editing the contact and saving it to Favorites.

To add a new local contact

Note – local contacts can be added only if you are not syncing contacts with an Exchange server.

  1. Tap the  Contacts app icon.
  2. Tap the  Add Contact icon in the upper right corner.
  3. Select Keep local if this is the first local contact.

    If other local contacts have already been added, select Phone-only, unsynced.

  4. Enter the contact name.
  5. Optionally tap the  Picture icon to select a photo for the contact.
  6. Tap Next to move through the fields. Add another field shows additional fields that are currently hidden.

    You can press the  Back key at any time to close the on-screen keyboard.

  7. Optionally, check Save to DSS key to configure the first unused multifunction key as a DSS softkey for this contact.
  8. When finished, tap  Done to save the contact.

To use contacts from an Exchange account

  1. Tap the  Contacts app icon.
  2. Tap the  Add Contact icon in the upper right corner.
  3. Select Add account or Add new account.
  4. Follow the prompts to enter username, password, server, and any other required info.

To delete contacts

  1. Tap the  Contacts app icon.
  2. Tap the  Delete Contact icon.
  3. Tap contacts in the list that you want to delete. Contacts to be deleted will show a check mark at the right.
  4. Tap the  Delete softkey.
