Java Manager/Architect Position

• A dedicated, high energy individual who has excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
• The ability to quickly learn and understand system architectures, implementation requirements and interaction of system components.
• The ideal candidate will be a hands on team manager who will make key technical decisions regarding the architecture and build of our next generation product.
• Effective communication skills, with ability to present findings concisely.
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum development principles and the ability to apply them effectively.
• Able to prioritize multiple tasks, manage conflicting deadlines, and create realistic schedules.
• Able to coordinate in house design team and offshore design team efforts.
• Mentor team members in design and coding techniques.

Required Skills and Experience

• 7+ years experience in requirements analysis, design, coding, and unit testing.
• 7+ years experience in web development/software engineering with Java, XML, and J2EE.
• 2+ years experience in Web Services.
• 2+ years experience in IDE development, including Eclipse.
• Expertise in object-oriented designed methodology and application development in Java and J2EE, including Servlets, JSP, Java, and JDBC.
• Expertise with Linux and Tomcat.
• Experience with Spring Framework and Hibernate.
• BS degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.

Desired Skills and Experience

• PostGreSQL (Database experience of some type is a requirement.)
• Freemarker
